Strengthening Health systems capacity in Africa for Pandemic Equity and Responsiveness (SHARPER)


SHARPER aims to examine relevant legal, scientific, regulatory, ethical, and advocacy mechanisms related to research through case studies; identify opportunities to advance post-trial access for populations; develop innovative tools, courses, and materials; and produce a range of peer-reviewed academic outputs. SHARPER also aims to effect strategic communication to engage communities, regulatory bodies, ethics committees, and regional and international governing bodies on ways of improving access to research benefits to African populations.

Strengthening Health systems capacity in Africa for Pandemic Equity and Responsiveness (SHARPER) Strengthening Health systems capacity in Africa for Pandemic Equity and Responsiveness (SHARPER) SHARPER vise à examiner, au moyen d’études de cas, les mécanismes juridiques, scientifiques, réglementaires, éthiques et de plaidoyer pertinents liés à la recherche ; à identifier des opportunités pour faire progresser l’accès post-essai pour les populations ; à développer des outils, des cours et des supports innovants ; et à produire un ensemble de travaux universitaires évalués par des pairs. SHARPER vise également à déployer une communication stratégique afin d’impliquer les communautés, les autorités de réglementation, les comités d’éthique ainsi que les instances de gouvernance régionales et internationales, dans le but d’améliorer l’accès des populations africaines aux bénéfices de la recherche.
